Johnny Barnes stands on the corner and simply greets people daily. "I love you. I will never stop loving you." is what he says to the cars as they pass by. This simple act of persistent kindness literally transforms the life of those around him. In the video below a young lady almost comes to tears when she speaks of Johnny and how he will never be forgotten. His smile is contagious and his voice is almost musical. Joy just radiates from this man! He says that the reaction from someone that he gives to brings him the greatest gratification. This proves that giving is receiving.
So today, what small thing can you do to show someone kindness. REGARDLESS of what their reaction is. What will you do?!?! Give a text to a distant relative? Pay for a random persons lunch (without them knowing who did it)? You could just smile ALLDAY? How strange will that look to a world of frowns. Be a light today! Go out and do a small thing!
